Armani, considered the doyen of Italian fashion has unveiled the latest Giorgio Armani Spring-Summer Collection 2010. Titled as ‘Classicismo Del 2010′, the collection concentrates exclusively on menswear line. Highlighting contemporary aesthetics by Armani, the classic collection boasts of elegance with style.

This season the menswear range will witness the comeback of oversized patterns on shirts and ties, woven in shimmering silk and linen along with emphasis on plain classic white shirts. The shades of grey, as always, are prevalent in the colour palette and can be seen in wide display of patterns, masculine shirts and ties. Taking inspiration from the long sultry summer days and the holiday season, the range has shades of Havana Brown, lit up by gleams of light.

Talking about Armani’s designs and style designer Abdul Haldercomments, “The collection is clean and tidy. He has changed the look of lapel collars, has brought back the 50s and 60s look with a modern touch to it. Ihave always liked the finishes which he offers to his clothes. He provides a lean look to the denims range.” Graphics play a major role in this collection as can be observed in from striped suits to shoes.

The array of fitted suits is chequered or striped and offers an urbane look in pale shades and luminous colours paired with loose shirt pieces that resemble a small bomber jacket, or an unlined jacket in a distraught leather look. “I think Armani suits are the best. I own one and I feel as a privileged person to own that luxurious piece as they are highly expensive. The fit is amazing too,” said Angad Bedi.

The designer has also come up with a range of denims to offer a casual and lighter touch to the collection. Teamed up with causal suits and a waist coat, denims play a pivotal role in enhancing the look of the metro male. The sky blue tones of the shirts accentuated with micro geometric designs that range from stripes to azulejo tile patterns steal the look of the collection. The designer known for high power detailing has emphasized on the complete look by providing lace-up two-tone shoes with rope inserts or ankle boots in ray-effect tanned leather
